Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options

The Routan is available in three basic trim models. All trims are virtually the same except for a few options here and there, as well as the SEL trim which features the 4.0 V6 engine. Some features of the Routan are keyless entry, heated side mirrors, a six speaker CD system, a removable second row seat and a 60 to 40 split third row seat that convieniently folds into the floor.

Some very cool optional features are a DVD player, flip down TV screens, Bluetooth, a 30 gigabyte hard drive audio system, a back up camera and the power trunk lift.

Powertrains and Performance

The Routan’s basic model features a 3.8 liter V6 that produces 197 horsepower and 230 pound-feet of torque and of course we know about the 4.0 liter engine already. For the 3.8 liter Routan, it receives 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. The 4.0 engine gets a little bit better gas milage with 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.

For speed testing purposes, the Routan minivan goes from 0 to 60 in 8.9 seconds for the 4.0 engine and 10.2 seconds for the 3.8 liter engine.
