Body Styles, Trim Levels, and Options

The Touareg 2 is a 5 passenger SUV that is available in 3 different trim levels. The V6, V6 TDI and V8. Standard features of the trim levels are automatic wipers, a power liftgate, sunroof, rear parking assist, 12 way driver and 8 way passenger power front seats with heat, dual zone automatic climate control and a 10 speaker stereo.

The V6 TDI shares the V6′s same features with the exception of the engine. The TDI Touareg 2 features a turbo diesel V6 engine under the hood.

The Touareg 2’s V8 trim level boasts comes with an adjustable air suspension, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, real wood trim, and leather upholstery.

Powertrains and Performance

Fuel ratings between the V6, V6 TDI and the V8 average about 15 mpg city and 21 mpg highway. The Touareg 2 can also tow 7,700 pounds, which is way more than its competitors.

Safety

Volkswagen Touareg 2 trim levels come standard with brake assist, stability control, hill descent and incline roll back control, front and full side curtain airbags, adaptive cruise control and lane change assist.

In safety crash testing, the Touareg scored a perfect rating scoring a 5 out of 5 in both front and side impact tests.
